CHOCOLATE CUP

Chocolate Cup — a medium-maturing, large-fruited pepper variety intended for cultivation in protected soil. The plant is bushy, robust, and semi-branching, with an average plant height of about 60 cm. Fruits have a cuboid shape, large dimensions of 12×10 cm, four-celled structure, wall thickness from 8 to 12 mm, and weight from 230 to 400 grams. Unripe fruits are green, while ripe ones develop a dark cherry hue, characterized by juiciness, sweet taste, and aroma.

The variety is distinguished by high productivity, yielding 5.5 to 8.7 kg per square meter in plastic greenhouses. It is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus, ensuring stable and high-quality harvests. Due to its characteristics, the pepper is suitable for fresh consumption, home cooking, and processing.

For successful cultivation, seedlings should be sown at the end of February with transplanting in the cotyledon stage. Seedlings are transplanted into the ground at the end of May. Plant shaping involves removing all lateral branches and leaves up to the first fork, and planting scheme is 40×60 cm. These agronomic practices promote optimal plant development and maximum yield.
