Sweet pepper variety DAVOS is a medium-early hybrid intended for cultivation in winter glass and plastic greenhouses, as well as in extended crop rotations on substrates. The plant is medium-height with long green leaves, possessing a strong but sufficiently open structure, allowing cultivation with 2, 3, or 4 stems. This variety is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus and potato virus, as well as drought, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions and cultivation technologies.
The DAVOS pepper fruits have a cube-shaped form, smooth and glossy surface. In technical maturity, they are green, while in biological maturity — deep red. Fruit weight varies from 200 to 242 grams, with wall thickness of 6–7 mm, ensuring juiciness and fleshiness. Fruits are large, uniform, and thick-walled, maintaining their market appearance for a long time after harvest, do not wrinkle, and exhibit excellent flavor qualities, rated as good to excellent. Marketable yield reaches 98.1%, with productivity ranging from 8.2 to 9.2 kg per square meter.
DAVOS variety is ideal for fresh consumption, home cooking, and canning. Due to its characteristics and resistance, it is widely used in winter-spring greenhouse complexes, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield. This hybrid is included in the State Register of Selection Achievements, confirming its high quality and suitability for commercial cultivation.
