The sweet pepper 'Yellow Baron' is an eye-catching 'Rotunda' type variety with exceptional flavor. The plant is compact, moderately leafy, 60-80 cm tall, with short internodes. It begins to fruit profusely 110-115 days after sowing. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in polyethylene greenhouses, making it versatile for various climatic conditions. The variety is low-maintenance and able to easily withstand short-term temperature drops, simplifying care and enhancing resistance to adverse weather. The pepper fruits are small, pumpkin-shaped, weighing approximately 140-180 g. They are characterized by very thick walls, 8-10 mm thick, which gives them density and juiciness. Unripe fruits are green, turning bright yellow upon ripening. Due to their shape and dense structure, the fruits are ideal for various culinary uses: they are perfect for decorative sweet slicing, serving salads or meat in portions, and also serve as unique containers for stuffing. Additionally, the pepper is well-suited for baking and preserving. Cultivation of the 'Yellow Baron' variety begins with sowing seedlings in late February, followed by transplanting when the cotyledons appear. Seedlings are recommended to be transplanted into the ground at the end of May. For optimal plant development, pruning is recommended, removing all lateral shoots and leaves until the first fork. The recommended planting scheme is 40x60 cm, ensuring sufficient space for growth and fruiting.
