Sashenka

Sashenka pepper is a mid-early variety suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under temporary coverings. The plant is medium-height, robust, and well-leafed, reaching a height of 0.5 to 0.6 meters. For successful growth and fruiting, pepper requires sufficient sunlight, regular watering, and fertilization. The bush is resistant to many diseases, which contributes to a stable and regular harvest.

The fruits of the Sashenka variety have round or slightly flattened shapes, weighing from 90 to 300 grams, and measuring up to 18-20 cm in length. In technical maturity, they are dark green or light green, gradually turning bright red as they ripen. Wall thickness varies from 6 to 10 mm, with dense, juicy flesh possessing a distinct aroma and pleasant taste. The pepper has a spicy, sharp flavor, making it versatile for fresh consumption, as well as for processing into semi-finished products, canning, and drying.

The variety is characterized by high yield — up to 6 to 8 kg of fruit per square meter. Due to its dense flesh and good resistance to damage, the pepper withstands long-distance transportation without loss of quality. This makes it attractive both for personal use and for commercial cultivation and sale at fresh markets.
