Sweet pepper variety Orpheus belongs to mid-season varieties with a maturation period from seedling transplanting to fruiting of about 70-75 days. The plant reaches a height of 45-60 cm and features a strong, semi-branching bush that does not require staking when grown in open ground. This variety is recommended for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses and greenhouses, making it versatile for various growing conditions.

The fruits of Orpheus pepper have an elongated-cuboid or four-sided prism shape, reaching 14-15 cm in length and weighing from 120 to 250 grams depending on growing conditions. In technical maturity, the fruits are dark green, while in biological maturity, they develop a vibrant red hue. Wall thickness varies from 6 to 10 mm, the flesh is juicy, succulent, slightly sweet, and aromatic, making this variety ideal for fresh consumption, salads, first and second courses, as well as for canning and preservation.

Orpheus variety is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus and a complex of other diseases, enhancing its reliability and yield. For sowing, seeds are recommended to be sown in February-March at a depth of 1-2 cm, followed by transplanting seedlings according to the scheme 70x40 cm. Harvesting is typically conducted in August-September.
