Sweet pepper variety MIRICA is a medium-ripening type of Capsicum annuum L., intended for cultivation in open ground and under film coverings. The plant is compact, very tall, reaching a height of about 100-110 cm, with a semi-stemmed form. Leaves are dark green, medium to large in size, with very slight wrinkling. The period from germination to technical maturity is approximately 106-111 days.
Fruits of the MIRICA variety are flat-round, glossy, with deeply pronounced ribs, green in technical maturity and dark red at biological ripeness. Fruit mass varies from 120 to 210 grams, wall thickness is 6-8 mm. The flesh is tender, juicy, and sweet, providing excellent flavor of fresh fruits. Fruits are used both fresh and for canning and making pepper relish.
The variety is characterized by high yield of marketable fruits — up to 4.8 kg per square meter in open ground. Additionally, MIRICA is valued for its enhanced storability and good transportability, making it convenient for storage and transport. These qualities, combined with excellent taste characteristics, make the variety attractive for cultivation in private households.
