Pepper PROMONTOR

Stable Yield for Processing and Fresh Market

Hungarian breeding from Duna-r is known for its adaptability, and the 'Promontor' pepper is a prime example. Farmers choose this variety for predictable results, whether grown in greenhouses or in open fields. A maturation period of 80–100 days allows for flexible seasonal planning, ensuring marketable produce for both wholesale and private needs.

Farming Practice: Why Choose 'Promontor'

• Practical Fruit Size: With a weight of 60–100 grams and a classic conical shape, this pepper is ideal for stuffing, canning, and drying. This size is highly demanded by retail chains and food processing plants.
• Wall Thickness: A wall thickness of 5–8 mm ensures the fruit maintains necessary firmness. It withstands transportation well without damage and retains its shape and juiciness during cooking.
• Harvesting Efficiency: The variety exhibits uniform ripening, which minimizes the number of passes through the field. Its biological maturity is marked by a deep red color, making it visually attractive to consumers.

The use of 'Promontor' in agricultural operations is justified by its resilience to stressful conditions. The plant handles temperature fluctuations well in field environments while maintaining a high fruit set. It is a reliable choice for those seeking a balance between labor intensity and high-quality marketable yield.
