Pepper Original

Stable yields in challenging conditions

The 'Originale' pepper from the Dutch company Enza Limited is the top choice for professional vegetable growers who prioritize predictable results. In greenhouse environments, where soilborne pathogens often become the main hurdle to marketability, this hybrid demonstrates exceptional resistance to Verticillium wilt. Essentially, the breeders have equipped it with a 'genetic shield,' minimizing the risk of crop loss from one of the most dangerous soil-dwelling pathogens.

Fruit Geometry and Potential

The visual appeal of 'Originale' fruits meets modern market requirements: a deep dark red color upon reaching biological maturity and a classic conical shape make it a highly liquid commodity for retail chains. The fruit structure features high density and an optimal number of locules (3–4), which ensures excellent transportability.

The manufacturer provides a wide range of characteristics, allowing for flexible agronomic management tailored to specific market segments:

• Fruit mass: ranging from compact 30–40 g to substantial 200–250 g fruits.
• Wall thickness: a range of 5–8 mm guarantees a high marketable yield even after long-distance logistics.

Who is this hybrid for?

'Originale' is more than just seeds; it is a tool for strategic profit. It is optimized for operations supplying fresh markets and those focused on long-term contracts with supermarket chains. Thanks to its robust immunity against Verticillium, the need for intensive fungicide treatments is reduced, and the productive lifespan of the greenhouse is extended. This is an ideal solution for farmers who refuse to compromise between high yield volumes and superior product quality.
