Wild cabbage Ceres F1

Stable cauliflower yields in diverse conditions

The Cerci F1 cauliflower from Rijk Zwaan breeders is a prime example of how Dutch genetics address the main challenges vegetable growers face: unstable climate and the risk of crop loss due to disease. Unlike many early hybrids that demand perfect growing conditions, Cerci F1 demonstrates remarkable plasticity.

Why choose this hybrid?

• Pathogen resilience. The declared resistance to a complex of diseases (cladosporium, powdery mildew, cucumber mosaic virus) significantly reduces the need for fungicide applications. This is not only budget-friendly but also results in a cleaner, more eco-friendly produce.
• Efficiency and protection. The plant features a robust leaf system that provides reliable coverage for the head, protecting it from sunburn and yellowing—a critical factor for marketability in supermarkets.
• High-quality output. The heads are dense and uniform with an excellent structure, making them ideal for both the fresh market and deep freezing.

This hybrid is an optimal choice for commercial farmers aiming for professional-grade vegetable production while minimizing risks under stress conditions. Cerci F1 is forgiving of minor agronomic errors and allows for high-precision yield planning. It doesn't just provide volume; it delivers a predictable, high-quality product that commands a premium market price.
