KIRIN pepper is a first-generation hybrid, intended for cultivation in protected soil and open fields. The plants feature strong growth, a robust root system, and well-developed foliage, ensuring resistance to adverse conditions and cultivation stress. The plants have an open habit with a cup-shaped form, and the leaf blades are medium-sized, lanceolate with slight wrinkling. This variety is distinguished by high yield and marketability, making it attractive for commercial cultivation. The KIRIN pepper fruits are narrowly conical, with a wall thickness of 1-2 mm and two chambers. In technical maturity, they are green with moderate gloss and fine ribbing; in biological maturity, they attain a vibrant, saturated red hue. The average fruit weight is about 22 grams. The fruits are juicy, sweet, and high in dry matter content, making them ideal for both fresh consumption and processing. Thanks to their excellent taste and attractive appearance, the pepper withstands transportation well and retains quality during marketing. The KIRIN variety demonstrates resistance to several diseases, including tomato virus (pathotype P0), bacterial speck (strains 1-3), and potato Y-virus (strain 0). The time from mass emergence to first harvest is approximately 125 days. This pepper is widely used in culinary applications, including spicy dishes, where fruits are used both fresh and as powder.
