Salazar

Salazar F1 is an early hybrid of sweet pepper developed by Bakker Brothers from the Netherlands. The maturation period is 65-70 days, allowing for a relatively quick harvest. The plant demonstrates strong growth in greenhouse conditions, reaching up to 160 cm in height, while in open ground it forms a compact, bushy plant with evenly distributed fruits. This hybrid is resistant to adverse growing conditions and common viral diseases such as mosaic virus, pepper spotted disease, and potato Y-virus. Salazar pepper fruits have a short-cube shape with dimensions of 10-12 cm in length and 9-10 cm in diameter, with wall thickness of 5.5-6 mm. The average fruit weight is 200-250 grams. In technical ripening stage, the fruits are dark green, and in biological ripening stage — bright red. The flesh has a pleasant, distinct flavor, crisp and juicy texture, and aroma that remains even after long-term storage. Thanks to these qualities, the harvest is suitable for fresh market sales, canning, preparation of hot dishes, and freezing for winter. The Salazar F1 hybrid has high yield potential and a prolonged fruiting period. The plant develops evenly and actively forms fruit set even under stressful growing conditions. In open ground, bushes remain semi-compact with good coverage, facilitating care and harvest. High taste and commercial qualities, as well as good transportability and storability, make this variety attractive for both farmers and consumers.
