Pepper variety Astrakhansky 147 is a medium-height, compact plant, 50 to 70 cm tall, with a semi-determinate bush form. The fruits are narrow-conical, 5.5 to 9 cm long and 2-2.6 cm in diameter, with a smooth surface and thin flesh, 0.1-0.2 cm thick. In technical maturity, the fruits are dark green, and in biological maturity — vivid red. The weight of one fruit is about 12-13 grams. The variety is medium-early, with a period from germination to the beginning of ripening of 120-145 days, allowing harvest in July-August. Astrakhansky 147 is characterized by an extremely spicy taste, making it ideal for use as a spice. The fruits are widely used for fresh consumption, canning, pickling, and as a seasoning in various dishes. Due to its spiciness and shape, the variety is popular among lovers of spicy peppers and chefs who appreciate rich flavor and aroma. The plant is recommended for cultivation in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. Seedlings are used for planting: sowing is carried out at the end of February — beginning of March, pinching in the cotyledon stage, and transplanting seedlings into the ground — at the end of May. Bush formation includes removing side branches and leaves up to the first fork to improve ventilation and lighting. Planting scheme is 30x40 cm. Yield of the variety varies from 1.3 to 2.8 kg per square meter, making it sufficiently productive for various climatic conditions, including Northern, Northwestern and Central regions.
