Hiros

Hiros pepper is an ultraprecoce hybrid of conical hot peppers, characterized by high yield and versatility in use. The fruits are 15 to 25 cm long and about 3-4 cm in diameter, with hard walls approximately 2.5 mm thick. In technical maturity, they are yellow or green, and in biological maturity, they turn into a deep red, indicating full ripeness. The fruit weight reaches about 50 g. This variety is prized for its unique spicy flavor with a slight bitterness and sweet notes, making it ideal for fresh consumption, canning, pickling, drying, and use as a spice.

Hiros exhibits high resistance to diseases, including tomato mosaic virus, ensuring stable fruiting and a prolonged harvest period. The plants are well-branched, protecting the fruits from sunburn in hot weather. Thanks to its good storability and ability to be transported over long distances, this variety is widely sought after in Europe and North Africa. It is suitable for cultivation both in open and protected soil, making it a versatile choice for various climatic conditions.

This hot pepper is distinguished not only by high productivity but also by its multifunctional use. The fruits retain their shape and flavor during preservation, especially if their size does not exceed 7 cm, allowing for whole fruit use. Due to its qualities, Hiros is suitable for processing into ground pepper and other spices, as well as for preparing various dishes requiring spicy heat and rich aroma.
