Description Indigo
Indigo F1 pepper is a sweet pepper with an indeterminate growth type, providing strong and sturdy stems up to 80-90 cm in length. The plant is semi-branching, open-type, with dark medium-sized leaves and well-developed branched roots. This variety is suitable for cultivation in greenhouse and open field conditions, although plants are more compact when grown in open ground.

The fruits of the Indigo pepper are conical, 14-16 cm long and 6-8 cm wide, weighing 150-165 g. They have 3-4 chambers and a smooth surface, with a wall thickness of 5-7 mm. At technical maturity, the fruits are light green or bone-colored, and at biological maturity, they turn into a bright, saturated red color without anthocyanic tints, even under stress conditions. The flavor quality of the fruits is high, making them an excellent choice for fresh consumption.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to tobacco mosaic virus and fusarium wilt, as well as good heat tolerance and transportability. Indigo pepper is widely used for preparing salads, appetizers, as well as aromatic winter preserves such as marinated peppers, fish sauce, and adjika. Moreover, juicy fruits are perfect for adding to soups, borscht, and side dishes, making this variety versatile and popular in culinary applications.
