DOLLY

Dolly pepper is a medium-early hybrid of sweet pepper, characterized by large fruits with thick walls and a pleasant sweet taste. Plants reach a height of about 70 cm, have a semi-erect form, and are well-leafed. Fruits are square bell-shaped or cone-pyramidal, weighing 120 to 170 grams and measuring approximately 10 by 10 cm. In technical ripeness, they are green, turning red and then dark garnet as they mature. Wall thickness is 5-6 mm, providing a crisp texture and making them ideal for stuffing, as the core and seeds can be easily removed even at early ripening stages.

Dolly pepper plants exhibit high stress resistance and low maintenance requirements, enabling stable high yields. They grow well in fertile, well-drained soils and are suitable for cultivation both in polyethylene greenhouses and in open ground. The plants have a strong root system and an indeterminate growth habit, which contributes to good fruit set and overall crop stability.

The variety is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus and Fusarium wilt, enhancing its reliability and yield quality. Under polyethylene coverings, marketable fruit yields reach 5 kg per square meter, making this variety attractive for both home gardens and commercial cultivation. Due to its characteristics and flavor profile, Dolly pepper is an excellent choice for various culinary applications, especially for stuffed dishes.
