Pepper DOLLY

Technical Profile and Genetic Potential

The «Dolly» pepper from Greenomica is an indeterminate hybrid designed to provide stable productivity in both open field and greenhouse environments. Its indeterminate growth habit allows for highly efficient space utilization in greenhouses when vertically trellised, ensuring consistent fruiting throughout the season.

Fruit Morphology and Marketability

The fruit geometry of «Dolly» represents a transition between blocky and conical shapes, measuring 10x10 cm. With a weight of 120–160 grams and a wall thickness of 5–6 mm, the pepper exhibits excellent transportability. The color transition from green (technical maturity) to deep red (biological maturity) is gradual, which is critical for scheduling harvests.

Resistance and Defense Mechanisms

Biological resilience is the core feature of this hybrid. Its genetic profile incorporates comprehensive protection against pathogens that typically reduce yield in intensive vegetable production:

• Fusarium Wilt: Specific resistance allows for reduced pesticide application.
• Viral Threats: High resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV) and other viral mosaics ensures crop health throughout the 75–80 day growth cycle.

The combination of a mid-early maturation period and robust immunity makes this hybrid an essential tool for professional growers aiming for high-quality marketable yields with minimal losses due to disease pressure.
