Description BENDIGO
Sweet pepper 'Bendigo F1' is an early-maturing hybrid developed by the Dutch company ENZA ZADEN. This variety is recommended for extended crop rotation and is characterized by high yield, reaching 7.3 to 15.4 kg per square meter. The period from full emergence to technical fruit maturity is 96–104 days, allowing for an early harvest. Plants are medium-height, indeterminate with relatively long internodes, which promotes good growth and fruit formation.

The fruits of 'Bendigo' pepper have a cube-shaped form with a glossy surface. The average fruit weight is 100–105 grams. The base of the fruit has a slight indentation, and the apex is slightly flattened. The fruit wall thickness reaches 5.5 mm, ensuring good fleshiness and attractive appearance. Fruit color changes during ripening: they are green at technical maturity and dark red at biological maturity. The number of locules in the fruit varies from 3 to 4, positively affecting taste qualities, which are rated as good to excellent.

The 'Bendigo' hybrid is valued for its excellent fruit set and suitability for cultivation in unheated greenhouses, expanding its cultivation possibilities. Additionally, the variety is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus, enhancing its reliability and reducing the risk of crop loss. All these characteristics make 'Bendigo' an attractive choice for farmers and gardeners aiming to obtain high-quality and stable sweet pepper yields.
