SIMPLE MARY

The 'Simple Mary' pear variety represents a late-winter variety bred at the Belarusian Horticultural Research and Experiment Station. The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 2.5-3 meters, with a compact pyramidal canopy of medium density that is easy to shape. The variety is characterized by high frost resistance and immunity to diseases, which ensures stable and high yields starting from the 3rd-4th year after planting.

The fruits of this variety are large, usually weighing 180-240 grams, but can reach up to 450 grams, and have a classic pear shape. The skin is yellowish-green, acquiring a golden-yellow hue upon full ripening with a bright carmine or pink blush on the sunny side. The flesh is creamy, very juicy, melting, and buttery, with a pleasant sweet-sour taste, which is highly rated for taste qualities.

Harvesting occurs at the end of September — beginning of October, which allows using the fruits fresh for a long time. Pears store well in the refrigerator at about +2°C until May, maintaining their taste and commercial qualities. The variety has high transportability, making it attractive for commercial growing and marketing.
