New Mliyevskaya

The "Mliyevskaya Zimnya" pear variety is a winter variety developed by Ukrainian breeders and known since 1934. The tree is vigorous, with a high pyramidal crown and strong, wide branches. The crown is open, facilitating care and harvesting. The plant is highly winter-hardy and resistant to scab and other fungal diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

The fruits of this variety are relatively large, weighing from 160 to 200 grams, have a pear-shaped elongated form with barely noticeable bumps on the surface. The skin is thick, smooth, yellow-green with a slight blush and small rust-colored spots. The flesh is yellow-white, finely textured, juicy, soft, and has a pleasant sweet taste with a slight acidity. The fruits withstand transportation well and retain their flavor during long-term storage.

Harvesting occurs at the beginning of October, and consumption is recommended no earlier than the end of December. Thanks to its long storage life — until April-May — "Mliyevskaya Zimnya" pears are ideal for consumption during winter and spring periods. High yield, attractive appearance, and excellent taste make this variety versatile for both fresh consumption and various culinary purposes.
