Summer local lower-Volga variety, commonly found in the northern part of the Volgograd region in a wild form, growing on bank slopes and reproducing by root suckers.
A strongly growing, fast-growing tree with a dense, elongated-oval crown.
Shoots are long and curved, olive-yellow, buds are small, medium width, broad-conical, slightly deviated. Leaves are below average size, oval, dark green, glossy, concave, with a narrow-angled tip, serrated edges.
Fruits are small and below average size, irregular (mass from 48 to 80 g), bergamot-shaped, dry to the touch. Main color is light green, without blush. Fruit stalk is short, woody, light brown, without swelling.
Fruit flesh is dark brown with a high content of large gritty cells, juicy, sweet, with medium aroma.
Fruits ripen at the end of August. This is a table variety, fruits suitable for drying. Seeds are used for cultivating winter-hardy rootstocks.
Trees are very productive (up to 100 kg and more per tree). Cold and drought-resistant, very well adapted to local growing conditions.
Advantages of the variety: longevity, high yield, ecological resistance to adverse environmental conditions, pests and diseases, excellent rootstock for cultivated varieties.
Disadvantages of the variety: strong growth of trees, mediocre taste, small fruits.
