Description Decabrinka
Autumn variety of the Southern Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Potato Growing. Obtained by crossing selected seedling 41-16-1 (Limonka Iсилькульская Ch Lesnaya Krasavitsa) with elite seedling No. 143. Breeders: E. A. Falkenberg, M. A. Mazunin, L. I. Bolotova. Approved for the Ural region, also distributed in the West Siberian region.
Multiplies on seedlings of Ussuri pear, which it grafts well and provides high-quality planting material.

Medium-stature tree (up to 5 m). Round, dense crown. Branches curved, spaced out, emerge from the trunk at a right angle. Branch tips point upward. Bark on trunk and skeletal branches is gray and smooth. Fruit set is concentrated, primarily on spurs and fruiting twigs.

Medium-length, straight, brown, hairless shoots. Buds small, round, pressed. Leaves small, elongated, long-pointed, dark green, smooth, shiny. Leaf blade curved upward, entire margin. Petiole medium length, thick, hairy. Petiolules lanceolate.

Fruits medium or slightly smaller (average mass 100 g, maximum 120 g), one-dimensional, pear-shaped, well-formed with smooth surface, high-quality. Skin color green at harvest, turning dark yellow with slight blush on the lower part of the fruit. Numerous lenticels, gray, clearly visible. Peduncle long, medium thickness, curved. Calyx small, slightly rusted (Fig.). Receptacle non-deciduous, half-open, small, shallow. Receptacle tube short. Heart small, round. Seed chambers closed. Seeds large, egg-shaped, dark brown.
Flesh white, slightly coarse, juicy, weakly aromatic, good sour-sweet taste. Fruits contain 15.6% soluble solids, 9.6% sugars, 0.62% titratable acids, 8.7 mg/100g ascorbic acid.

Fruits ripen at the end of the second decade of September and, depending on the year’s conditions, may be stored for one to three months. Primary use — fresh consumption, to a lesser extent, for processing.
Variety is characterized by very late flowering. Best pollinators — late-flowering varieties Uralochka and Larinskaya.
High and regular yield. Moderate fruiting speed. Fruit set begins on the 7th year after planting one-year-old saplings in the orchard and rapidly increases.
Winter hardiness of the tree is relatively high. During the severe winter of 1978/1979, when temperatures dropped to -48.3 degrees Celsius, young trees suffered only 2 points.
Variety shows high resistance to scab and pear gall mite and moderate drought tolerance.

Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness, resistance to scab and pear gall mite, moderate tree growth and non-overcrowded crown, high and annual yield, good taste and fruit storability, late flowering.
