Late-season variety obtained at the Moscow Academy of Agriculture named after K. A. Timiryazev by crossing the varieties Olga and Lesnaya Krasavitsa. Authors: S. T. Chizhov, S. P. Potapov. Included in the State Register in 1993 for the Central, Volga, and North-Western regions. Widely cultivated in the Moscow region.
Tree of the stem type, medium-sized. The crown is narrow in young trees, pyramidal (conical) and dense in fruiting trees, with medium foliage. Bark of the stem is dark gray. Main branches are gray, arranged obliquely-vertical. Fruit set is ring-type.
Shoots are dark or reddish-brown, slightly curved, medium length and thickness, round in cross-section. Internodes are of medium length, without hairs, stipules small, sparse, located at the surface level. Buds are conical, slightly deviated, dark brown. Leaves are of medium size, elongated-oval, often elongated, green, curved along the central vein. Leaf blade is elastic, medium thickness, surface smooth, leaf margin serrated, no hairs on upper or lower surfaces. Petiole is of medium length. Bracts are lanceolate.
Flowers are of medium size, cup-shaped, corolla white, petal margins entire, petal closure medium. Buds are white. Inflorescence — shield-shaped raceme. Average number of flowers (5-7).
Fruits are of medium size, weighing 120-140 g, reverse-egg or pear-shaped, surface smooth. Skin is thin, smooth, matte, dry. Main color is yellow-green. Cover color is absent or very weakly expressed as a blurred pink blush. Subcutaneous dots are small, medium-expressed. Rust is weak, tender. Fruit stalk is short, medium thickness. Calyx is small, narrow, ribbed. Plate is small, narrow, warty. Calyx is open. Subcalyx tube is of medium size. Fruit core is medium. Heart is broadly oval, small, without granulations. Number of seeds per fruit is medium (5-10 pieces), seeds are of medium size, brown.
Flesh is light-yellow or nearly white, medium-fleshed, semi-oily, melting, slightly aromatic, good sour-sweet refreshing taste. Sensory evaluation of taste: 4.1-4.2 points. Fruit appearance is attractive. Chemical composition of fruits: 16.5% dry matter, 13.1% soluble solids, 9.1% sugars, 0.45% titratable acids, 166 mg/100g P-active substances.
Variety is medium-ripening, late-season. Maximum storage life of fruits is 60-120 days at 0°C. Fruit drop is weak. Transportability is medium, fruit quality is high. Variety is universal-purpose.
Practically self-fertile. Best pollinators: Lada, Severyanka, Rogneda.
Early fruiting, enters fruiting on the 3-4 year after grafting. Yield per tree up to 50 kg. Fruit set is regular. Winter hardiness is very high. Resistant to scab. Highly resistant to extreme environmental conditions and diseases.
Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness, early fruiting, good fruit appearance.
Disadvantages of the variety: fruit size reduction with tree age.
