Summer local low-Volga variety of folk selection. Genetic origin unknown.
Tree vigorous (height 6.0 m, width 5.7 m), with round, moderately dense crown. Branches diverge from the trunk at a sharp angle (30-45°), straight, brown, with smooth bark.
Shoots medium, curved, dark brown. Buds small, narrow, narrowly conical. Leaves medium, round, dark green, smooth, glossy, concave, leathery, medium thickness. Leaf margins wavy, serrated. Petiole short, with weak anthocyanin without transition to the central vein. Stipules thread-like.
Fruits below average size, uniform (mass 100 g), egg-shaped, dry skin to the touch. Main color lemon-yellow, without blush. Numerous subcutaneous dots are present on the entire fruit surface. Peduncle short, curved, woody, oblique, without swelling, light brown.
Flesh greenish, with large stone cells, fairly dense, sour, with weak aroma, medium flavor. Chemical composition of fruits: dry matter — 19.1% (20.1%), total sugars — 9.9% (10.1%), titratable acids — 0.17% (0.20%) on fresh weight, sugar-to-acid ratio — 62.6 (74.6), ascorbic acid — 3.8 mg/100g (5.0), P-active substances — 4 mg/100g, total phenolic compounds — 415 mg/100g, total pectin substances — 0.88% on fresh weight.
Harvesting maturity occurs at the end of August, fruits are stored for no more than 7 days. In some years, strong fruit drop was observed. Variety intended for table use.
Advantages of the variety: winter hardiness, uniformity of fruits, resistance to diseases and pests.
Disadvantages of the variety: vigorous tree growth, mediocre fruit flavor, fruit drop before harvesting maturity.
