YERMACK pea variety is an early-maturing shelling type with universal usage. The plant is medium height, with lower pod attachment ranging from 24 to 40 cm. Pods are dark green, straight or slightly curved, 8-10 cm long, containing 6 to 8 yellow-green sweet grains. Pod hulls are fleshy and juicy, with a parchment layer, providing excellent taste qualities. Two pods form per node, contributing to high yield.
The variety is characterized by synchronized ripening and stable yield, reaching up to 46.7 c/ha in some regions. It is undemanding in cultivation and recommended for growing in various regions, including East Siberia and the Far East. Average yield in these regions is about 23-26 c/ha. YERMACK pea contains a high protein content — up to 25.5%, as well as significant amounts of sugars and vitamins of groups B and C, making it valuable for both nutrition and industrial processing.
YERMACK pea is widely used fresh, for canning and freezing. Thanks to its taste qualities and nutritional value, it is suitable for various culinary purposes. The variety is leafless and non-shattering, which facilitates harvest collection and improves quality. All these characteristics make YERMACK an attractive choice for farmers and consumers seeking a quality and healthy product.
