Pea Priority

Working with «Prioritet» Peas

When selecting seeds, every agronomist seeks a balance between efficiency and yield. «Prioritet» peas from Agromax are a tool designed to minimize harvest losses through optimized plant morphology. The leafless (tendril) type is not just a breeding novelty; it is a practical solution to crop lodging. Experience shows that this plant structure provides the stability required for modern high-speed harvesting.

Technological Features and Field Assessment

With a vegetation period of 70–80 days, this variety fits perfectly into crop rotation cycles, allowing for timely field clearing for subsequent crops. This is crucial in regions prone to heavy rainfall or high winds. This structure improves aeration within the canopy, significantly reducing the risk of fungal diseases in the lower tiers of the plant.

Harvesting and Commodity Quality

For combine operators, «Prioritet» means fewer stops for header cleaning. The 1000-seed weight of 180–200 grams is the «sweet spot» for consistent threshing. The grain is well-filled and does not crush easily when drum clearances are properly set. A protein content of 24–26% makes this variety attractive for both the feed market and food processing applications.

• Efficiency: The tendril structure allows for smoother, cleaner direct harvesting.
• Economics: Early maturity minimizes post-harvest drying costs.
• Quality: High protein levels ensure consistent market demand.

Managing «Prioritet» is straightforward; it is predictable in its growth stages and does not require complex agronomic interventions beyond standard seeding rates and early weed control. This is a reliable choice for those who value predictable, high-quality results at the end of the season.
