This variety is characterized by resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to yield preservation and facilitates harvesting.

Plants of the Tulunsky 202 variety have well-developed stipules and low density of spotting. Flowers are white, and pods are straight or with a slight bend and a blunt tip. Seeds are irregularly shaped with yellow cotyledons and a light hilum, closed by a remnant of the funicle.
