Pea Tudor

Stable Yields Without Unnecessary Hassle

French breeding by Limagrain in the field pea segment has long been synonymous with reliability, and the 'Tudor' variety is a prime example. In today's intensive farming, where every day of harvest counts, this pea variety stands out for its technological efficiency.

Agronomic Advantage: The Semi-leafless Type

The key feature of 'Tudor' is its morphology. The semi-leafless (tendril) type of plant fundamentally changes the approach to harvesting. Instead of a tangled mass that is difficult for a combine to pick up, you get a vertically standing crop. This offers several benefits:

• Perfect for direct combining: Harvest losses are minimized even under unfavorable weather conditions.
• Better aeration: The lack of dense leaf mass reduces the risk of fungal diseases developing within the canopy.
• Cost reduction: No need for preliminary swathing, which saves fuel and time.

Protection Against Soil-borne Threats

Peas are sensitive crops, especially concerning root rots. 'Tudor' possesses pronounced genetic resistance to Fusarium root rot and Ascochyta blight. This is critical for farmers practicing short rotations where soil pathogen pressure can be high.

Who is this variety for?

'Tudor' is the choice for agronomists who prioritize profitability and operational ease. If your goal is to produce high-quality grain with minimal harvest losses and predictable responses to fungicide protection, this French variety will justify your investment. It does not require complex interventions, delivering stable performance across various soil types, provided that good agricultural practices are followed.
