Pea KAZAK

Stable yields in challenging environments

The «Kazak» pea is a breeding product of the Agrarian Scientific Center «Donskoy», specifically developed for consistent grain production in regions with irregular precipitation. Unlike many varieties that require optimal environmental conditions, this hardy variety demonstrates high plasticity and resilience to the stress factors characteristic of southern climates.

Field performance and advantages

• Drought Tolerance: Engineered for southern latitudes, this variety is an excellent choice for farms where moisture deficit during critical growth stages is a recurring challenge.
• Harvest Efficiency: The plants exhibit strong resistance to lodging and shattering, which is vital for direct combine harvesting. Uniform maturation helps minimize grain losses in the field.
• Grain Quality: High protein content and excellent culinary properties ensure that «Kazak» remains a liquid commodity for both domestic markets and processing facilities.

Key considerations for agronomists

While «Kazak» may not set records for yield potential in controlled, optimal environments, its primary advantage lies in reliability. In conditions where intensive hybrids might abort blossoms due to heat, «Kazak» continues its vegetative development. It is the optimal choice for producers focused on risk mitigation. The variety requires standard agronomic care, particularly regarding early-stage weed control, as its initial growth vigor is moderate.

If your goal is to achieve a predictable grain harvest without relying on intensive, high-input management, this variety serves as a dependable cornerstone for your crop rotation strategy.
