Pea UNIVER

French Breeding for Consistent Yields

The «Univer» pea by Pms Industries S. A. is a product of intensive breeding efforts by the Station De Recherche Du Comite Nord. In today’s competitive agricultural market, this variety is the go-to for farmers prioritizing grain production and predictable performance.

Key Advantages

• Origin: French breeding is renowned for focusing on high yield potential under intensive cultivation conditions.
• End-use: Designed specifically for grain production, it delivers a high-quality harvest suitable for both food markets and industrial processing.
• Resilience: The originator, Station De Recherche Du Comite Nord, has incorporated genetic resistance to temperature fluctuations during the growing season.

«Univer» is an ideal choice for operations capable of implementing rigorous crop management, including effective pest and disease control. Unlike ultra-early varieties that demand perfect conditions, this variety exhibits more balanced development, which is crucial for achieving high-quality commercial grain.

Points to Consider

A major strength of this variety is its high tillering capacity, allowing the crop to efficiently utilize its growing space. However, as with any high-productivity grain variety, timing is essential during harvest; waiting too long can lead to pod shattering. Therefore, «Univer» is a choice for professional farmers committed to strict adherence to agronomic guidelines.
