Pea Karpati

Agronomic Profile of KWS Karpati Pea

The KWS 'Karpati' pea variety represents German precision breeding, specifically optimized for grain production efficiency. With a growing cycle of 90–100 days, this variety offers a strategic balance between early maturity and biomass accumulation, allowing producers to capitalize on moisture availability before the peak summer heat.

Key Technical Specifications

• Grain Quality: A 1,000-seed weight of 220–240 grams ensures a high-quality, uniform sample, which is vital for ease of harvesting and storage.
• Protein Content: Containing 18–20% protein, the grain meets essential standards for both human consumption and high-grade livestock feed formulations.
• Growth Habit: The medium-height architecture is designed for modern harvesting equipment, ensuring minimal lodging risks and efficient combine performance during the cutting phase.

The core strength of the KWS Karpati variety lies in its robust genetic background, which promotes strong root development and environmental adaptability. By maintaining a medium height while maximizing grain fill, the plant structure allows for clean, low-loss harvests. This variety is an ideal choice for growers who prioritize predictability and consistent yield metrics. By focusing on grain weight and optimal vegetation timing, KWS has engineered a solution that translates directly into higher net productivity for field-scale farming operations.
