Pea KS FAVORIT

Field performance of the KS Favorit pea variety

When selecting seeds for challenging farming conditions, reliability is the top priority. The "KS Favorit" variety from "Ooo Agrokompleks Kurgansemena" is designed for growers who need predictability. With a growth period of 70–80 days, this pea reaches maturity consistently, allowing for accurate scheduling of harvest operations before the peak heat of the season.

Disease resistance and field health

Managing pulse crops often involves intensive fungicide use, but "KS Favorit" changes the math. Its high resistance to Ascochyta blight reduces the need for frequent chemical interventions, directly lowering the cost of production. Furthermore, its tolerance to Fusarium helps maintain optimal plant population density, even in cool or excessively damp spring conditions, ensuring a stable crop stand from emergence to harvest.

Ease of mechanical harvesting

From an operator's perspective, the physical characteristics of the crop are as important as the yield. The medium height of the plants and their resistance to lodging make harvesting very straightforward. Combines move through the fields efficiently without the need for constant adjustments to the header, resulting in minimal losses at the low cut. Even maturity ensures that the grain can be harvested at the ideal moisture level, reducing post-harvest drying costs and keeping the equipment running smoothly through the season.
