Intensive 97

Pea variety «Intensive 97» is a high-yielding, intensive type variety intended for mechanized harvesting. Average yield in Ukraine is 35–37 centners per hectare, with potential up to 58 centners per hectare. This variety is distinguished by resistance to lodging and drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The vegetation period is medium-late and lasts about 86–95 days. The 1000-seed mass varies from 190 to 240 grams, and protein content ranges from 23.2–24.1%, highlighting its value for food use.

Pea «Intensive 97» has moderate resistance to diseases such as ascochitosis and root rot, which contributes to maintaining high quality and quantity of the harvest. It grows best on medium-heavy soils with good agrofunds and requires adequate moisture at the beginning of the vegetation period. Due to its biological features, this variety not only ensures high yield but also contributes to improving soil fertility through symbiotic atmospheric nitrogen fixation and mobilization of less available forms of nutrients.

Using pea «Intensive 97» in crop rotation is a profitable and ecologically beneficial solution. It serves as a valuable protein source and is one of the best predecessors for cereal crops, enhancing overall agroecosystem productivity.
