Intensive 92 is a high-yielding variety of green spring field pea, distinguished by its vigorous growth type and versatility in use. The plants are leafless, erect, with strong stems and good leaf coverage, ensuring resistance to lodging and shattering. The vegetation period is about 70 days, which is 13 days longer than the Avola variety, allowing for a stable yield even under adverse conditions.
The seeds of this variety have a green color, a shape ranging from round to oval, and medium size. Pods are straight or slightly curved with blunt ends, 5-6 cm long, containing an average of 6-7 seeds, up to a maximum of 8. Flowers are white, large, usually two per node, which promotes good pollination and yield formation. The taste qualities of the peas are good, and the kernels are easily cooked, making this variety suitable for both food and feed purposes.
The Intensive 92 variety has high drought tolerance and good resistance to common pea diseases, enabling its cultivation throughout Ukraine. It is intended for direct combine harvesting, with harvest recommended when grain moisture is 17-18%. Due to its characteristics, this variety is a valuable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality pea crop.
