The Avance F1 cucumber hybrid is an ultra-early parthenocarpic variety with female flowering type, suitable for cultivation in both open and protected ground. From germination to the onset of fruiting, only 39-44 days pass, allowing for an early harvest. The plants are vigorous, moderately branched with limited growth of side shoots, which facilitates care and bush formation. 3 to 10 fruits form at each node, ensuring high yield.
Avance cucumber fruits have a cylindrical shape, length of 7 to 13 cm, and a diameter of about 3.5-4 cm. They are dark green, bumpy with a tough skin and a small seed cavity, which eliminates bitterness. The fruit weight is approximately 120-130 g. Such characteristics make cucumbers versatile in use - they can be consumed fresh, and also used for pickling and canning.
The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to main diseases such as powdery mildew (both real and false), olive spot, and root rots. For sowing seedlings, late April - early May is recommended, and planting in the ground is carried out in the phase of two to three true leaves in late May - early June, under temporary film covers. The optimal soil temperature for seed germination is 25-30 °C. The yield reaches 12-13 kg per square meter, making the variety attractive for commercial and hobby cultivation.
