Maize Zedan 28

Corn Zedan 28 is a high-yielding mid-season hybrid with FAO 280, developed for grain and silage production. It features a starchy kernel type, plant height of approximately 240 cm, and 16-18 rows of kernels per ear, with 32-34 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 300-340 g, contributing to a high yield potential of 12-14 t/ha depending on growing conditions. The hybrid belongs to the elite seed class and is intended for planting in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe.

One of the key features of Zedan 28 is its high resistance to adverse environmental factors. The hybrid demonstrates excellent drought and cold tolerance, ensuring stable growth and development even under water deficiency and frost. A strong root system contributes to resistance against lodging and optimal plant nutrition, as well as enhances early growth, enabling rapid adaptation to field conditions. Additionally, the hybrid exhibits high tolerance to diseases such as helminthosporiosis, fusarium, and bubblehead, further enhancing its reliability and productivity.

Zedan 28 is distinguished by its rapid water shedding, which facilitates harvesting and reduces yield losses. The recommended planting density varies by region: from 90-100 thousand plants per hectare in Polissia to 55-60 thousand in Steppe. Due to its combination of high yield, stress resistance, and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, this hybrid is an optimal choice for farmers aiming for stable and efficient grain production.
