Maize ZernoSlav

Yield Stability with the Zernoslav Hybrid

For farmers focused on high-quality grain production, the Zernoslav corn hybrid from the Russian company NVKF Selekta offers a solution centered on predictable performance. As a simple hybrid with dent-type kernels, it occupies a specific niche among mid-maturing crops, with a growing season of 100 to 110 days. This makes it an optimal choice for operations aiming to balance maturity speed with total grain volume.

Agronomic Profile and Resilience

The core value of Zernoslav lies in its phytosanitary reliability. NVKF Selekta's breeding program has endowed this hybrid with strong genetic resistance to two major threats: common smut and the European corn borer. Reducing reliance on intensive insecticide treatments provides a measurable boost to production efficiency.

• FAO: 90–1240 (wide range of adaptation).
• Hybrid type: Simple.
• Grain type: Dent, optimized for grain production.
• Maturity: 100–110 days.

Zernoslav is specifically engineered for grain-focused cropping systems. The kernel structure and moisture loss characteristics upon maturation are optimized to reduce post-harvest drying costs. In field conditions, this hybrid has established itself as a staple for consistent crop rotations, capable of maintaining yield potential even under moderate agronomic stress. It serves as a proven selection for growers seeking domestic breeding with clear, reliable specifications and a steady response to typical regional climatic conditions.
