White mustard "PEARL" is an early-maturing diploid variety created by selection from a hybrid population. The plant reaches a height of 100–120 cm and is characterized by a short overall length. Leaves are green, medium length, and narrow, while pods with a beak are also short. Seeds are light yellow, round, with a mass of 1000 seeds ranging from 4.3 to 4.8 g.
The seed yield of "PEARL" ranges from 15–17 c/ha, which is 20% higher than the standard Fairy variety. Potential yield can reach 22 c/ha. Oil content is 30–33%, with fat content reaching 28.8%. The oil contains erucic acid within 25–28% and allyl alcohol oil – 0.24%. These indicators make the variety particularly valuable for producing technical oil.
Technological properties of "PEARL" exceed many analogues: the plant is resistant to powdery mildew, bacterial blight, and is not affected by brown spot and rust. The variety withstands lodging, high temperatures, and air drought well, ensuring stable growth even under adverse climatic conditions. Optimal sowing density is 1.3–1.5 million seeds/ha at a sowing depth of 3–4 cm.
Thus, white mustard "PEARL" is a highly effective and technologically advantageous option for seed production aimed at obtaining technical oil and meal. Its distinctive characteristics make it a preferred choice for both agro-producers and processors.
