Millet Alba

Reliable millet production with the Alba variety

The «Alba» millet variety, developed by the FSBSI Federal Research Center for Legumes and Groat Crops, is designed for producers who prioritize risk mitigation and operational efficiency. In practice, this variety is valued for its ability to maintain high crop standards while minimizing the need for complex protective measures.

Operational advantages for your farm

• Efficient harvesting: The variety's high resistance to lodging allows for direct harvesting. This feature is crucial for farms utilizing modern combine technology, as it significantly reduces grain losses during the ripening stage, regardless of weather conditions.
• Disease resistance: A significant advantage is the variety's genetic resistance to smut. By choosing «Alba», growers reduce the reliance on specific fungicides, ensuring healthier crops and a more cost-effective production cycle.
• Field performance: «Alba» is a versatile variety that behaves consistently across different soil types and climates. It fits seamlessly into standard crop rotation schedules, requiring no specialized or intensive agricultural interventions.

For an agronomist, «Alba» serves as a reliable asset in the field. It is engineered to perform consistently, ensuring that harvest yields remain predictable. Its high resistance to lodging ensures that machines can work at optimal speeds without the risk of significant grain loss. This variety is a logical choice for operations focused on steady, high-quality grain production without unnecessary operational complications.
