Melon DELICIOUS

A Reliable Classic in Melon Cultivation

The 'Nezhnaya' melon variety is the result of extensive breeding work by the Educational and Scientific Center of the Vegetable Experimental Station and the Federal Research Center for Vegetable Growing. This variety has evolved from local selection into a recognized market product, focused on stable yields under various climatic conditions. In an era dominated by F1 hybrids, 'Nezhnaya' remains relevant as a time-tested variety, suitable for harvesting one's own seeds without loss of varietal quality.

Agronomic Profile

The variety is classified as mid-season: it takes 75–80 days from seedling emergence to the first mature fruits. This growth dynamic allows the crop to ripen effectively even in regions with shorter warm seasons. Key fruit characteristics:

• The weight of the fruit ranges from 2.0 to 3.0 kg, making it optimal for retail and farmer market trade.
• High transportability allows the harvest to be delivered over significant distances without losing marketability.
• Resistance to typical melon pathogens ensures stable fruiting even under fluctuating weather conditions.

The reputation of the 'Nezhnaya' variety is built on its lack of demanding maintenance. It is a choice for growers looking for predictable results without excessive expenditure on complex agrotechnical schemes. The fruits possess a distinct aroma and a balanced flavor, which is highly appreciated by consumers, making them suitable both for fresh consumption and processing.
