Description Zoryanka
The Zoryanka melon variety is an ultra-early and quick-maturing variety with a growing period of 55 to 70 days, allowing for an early harvest. The plant prefers light and fertile soils rich in organic matter, and sowing is recommended at soil temperatures not below 16°C. The seeding rate varies depending on the planting method: for seedlings, 0.4-0.5 g/m², for direct sowing, 0.3-3 g/m², with a planting density of 40-55 plants per square meter. Zoryanka melon fruits have a round or elliptical shape with yellow skin, where a rare netting may be present near the stem. Fruit mass ranges from 1.5 to 2 kg, with firm, white, sweet, and aromatic flesh. High content of dry soluble solids (13-15%) ensures excellent taste qualities and contributes to long-term fruit storage. The variety is characterized by synchronous ripening and high yield, reaching 30-40 kg per square meter. Zoryanka possesses high resistance to common diseases such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, and melon aphid, reducing the need for frequent application of protective agents. Due to its characteristics, the melon is widely used for fresh consumption and also suitable for processing into jams, drying, and sun-drying, making this variety universal and in demand among gardeners and consumers.
