Description MIMOSA
Mimosa F1 watermelon is a mid-early hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground. The vegetation period is approximately 60 days from transplanting seedlings and 80-82 days from direct sowing into the soil. The plant features a strong leaf canopy that effectively covers the fruits, protecting them from sunburn and ensuring uniform ripening. Medium-sized leaves with moderate lobing and serrated edges contribute to good fruit development and protection.

The fruits of Mimosa watermelon have an oval shape and large size, with an average weight of about 3 kg, and may reach up to 5 kg. The skin is smooth, slightly wrinkled, and free of netting, giving the fruits an attractive appearance. The seed cavity is small, and the flesh has a high sugar content (Brix 13%), providing a sweet and rich flavor. The fruits have good storability, maintaining their market appearance for up to 10 days, and are resistant to cracking.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases, including Fusarium wilt and powdery mildew, enhancing cultivation reliability. Mimosa F1 is well-suited for fresh markets due to its attractive orange flesh and high transportability. This hybrid is recommended for regions with the climatic conditions of the Lower Volga region and has been included in the register of approved varieties since 2024.
