Cantaloupe Kapaz F1 is a late hybrid of the new generation Full Netted Cantaloupe type, developed by Enza Zaden from the Netherlands. The vegetation period of this variety ranges from 100 to 120 days from seedling transplanting to harvest. The hybrid can be grown both by direct sowing in open ground and by the seedling method, offering flexibility in agronomy and allowing adaptation to various climatic conditions. The plant exhibits balanced growth and the ability to form several large fruits, which are reliably protected from sunburn by dense foliage. The fruits of Kapaz melon have a round shape and are covered with a dense gray netted rind. The average fruit weight varies from 2 to 4 kg, indicating the high commercial value of the hybrid. The flesh is bright orange with a slight greenish hue, uniform, sweet, and juicy, possessing excellent flavor qualities. The fruits contain a small number of seeds, making them convenient for consumption and processing. Thanks to good storability and resistance to transport, Kapaz melon is suitable for fresh market sales and can also be used for drying and production of juices and purees. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to diseases such as fusarium and powdery mildew, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss and enhancing cultivation reliability. The plant has high plasticity and quickly adapts to environmental conditions, without reducing productivity even under high solar activity. For sowing, choose soil warmed to 14-16°C after the threat of frost.
