Zucchini STARSHIP

Gastronomic Potential and Market Appeal

The Starship F1 hybrid from Syngenta is the choice for those who prioritize aesthetics and versatility. Its disc-shaped fruits with characteristic serrated edges stand out on the shelf, catching the eye of fresh market customers. The light green skin and compact size make this squash perfect for culinary creativity.

While primarily intended for the fresh market, the firm texture of the Starship squash opens up significant opportunities for processing. Due to its unique shape, Starship is a favorite in the pickling and canning segment: whole-canned "star" squash looks impressive and appetizing in jars.

Agronomic Advantages for Growers

Early maturity (40–45 days from emergence) allows for rapid production cycles. The bush-type plant architecture simplifies maintenance and harvesting, significantly reducing fruit damage. Consistently high yields combined with excellent transportability make this hybrid a reliable tool for farms serving various distribution channels.

• Marketability: High; fruits maintain an attractive appearance during storage.
• Versatility: Suitable for both home cooking and industrial processing.
• Adaptability: Successfully cultivated across diverse agro-climatic zones, including Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya.

Choosing Starship means securing a predictable outcome: from germination to harvest, the timeline is minimized, while fruit quality remains consistently high throughout the entire season.
