Bravura F1 is a medium-early hybrid of the Watermelon type "Piel de Sapo", developed by Dutch breeders of the company Rijk Zwaan. The vegetation period ranges from 65 to 80 days depending on growing conditions. The plant is robust, with dense foliage and strong, long stems, forming 3 to 5 oval fruits weighing 2.0–2.5 kg each. The fruit skin is dark green with a characteristic wrinkled surface and noticeable indentations, giving them an attractive appearance. The flesh is snow-white, tender, juicy, crisp, and high in sugar content — 14–16% — providing excellent flavor reminiscent of vanilla ice cream with a pleasant sweet aroma. Bravura watermelon exhibits high resistance to drought, intense sunlight, and major diseases of melon crops, including Fusarium wilt and powdery mildew. The plant quickly recovers from adverse conditions, contributing to a stable yield even under challenging circumstances. Under drip irrigation, yield and fruit quality significantly improve. Due to its dense and medium-thickness rind, the fruits withstand long-distance transportation well and retain their market and flavor qualities for an extended period — up to 1–1.5 months after harvest. Bravura F1 is ideal for cultivation in open ground and intended for distribution through supermarket networks and for export. Harvesting is recommended 7–10 days before full ripening to ensure maximum fruit preservation during transportation and storage. Primary use — consumption fresh, where the watermelon reveals its best flavor and aroma. This hybrid combines low maintenance, high marketability, and attractive appearance, making it popular among producers and consumers.
