Lupin «Prestige» is an annual plant that combines decorative qualities with high agricultural utility. Its seeds contain up to 50% protein and 5–20% high-quality oil comparable to olive oil, without digestive inhibitors or other anti-nutritional substances. Thanks to symbiosis with nitrogen-fixing bacteria, the plant can fix up to 200 kg of nitrogen per hectare in the soil, making it a valuable cover crop and source of natural fertilizer.
«Prestige» is distinguished by the bright color of its flowers – white, yellow, pink, red, blue, and two-tone combinations. The spikes reach lengths up to 45 cm, and the plant height is about 90 cm, allowing it to be used both in groups to create picturesque compositions and for cutting decorative bouquets. The plant grows well in various climatic zones, showing good frost resistance and disease resistance, so it is suitable for both gardens and garden plots.
For planting «Prestige» is recommended to sow in summer after harvesting early crops. The planting depth is 4 cm. After flowering and fruit formation, it is best to mow the plants to preserve their decorative appearance and stimulate the growth of new shoots. Thanks to the high nutritional properties of the seeds and the ability to enrich the soil with nitrogen, lupin «Prestige» is an excellent choice for those who value eco-friendly products and want to reduce expenses on artificial fertilizers.
