Lupin Avrora

Plant Architecture and Landscape Application

The 'Aurora' lupine, developed by the 'Kapris' farm (originators: Farm 'Kapris', Vyacheslav Vasilievich Shepelev), is a specialized variety specifically engineered for ornamental horticulture. The standout technical characteristic of this cultivar is its controlled growth habit, peaking at a height of 70 cm. This deliberate structural choice allows the plant to function effectively in mid-tier landscaping arrangements, eliminating the necessity for staking or secondary support structures often required by taller, wild-type varieties.

Technical Advantages for Ornamental Use

• Structural Stability: The 70 cm height profile is optimized to resist lodging, ensuring the stems remain upright even under wind and heavy rainfall conditions, which is essential for maintaining the integrity of public or private garden displays.
• Inflorescence Density: Selective breeding has prioritized the development of dense floral spikes, creating a more robust visual impact per square meter compared to standard lupine varieties.
• Spatial Integration: The growth pattern is calibrated to coexist with other low-maintenance perennials, ensuring that the root architecture does not impede adjacent vegetation within a landscape project.

As a product of 'Kapris' farm, the 'Aurora' variety demonstrates the importance of morphological uniformity in landscape design. By maintaining a consistent height of 70 cm, the variety provides project designers with a predictable, scalable element that minimizes maintenance costs while maximizing aesthetic output in outdoor spaces.
