Description Garant
Lupine "Governor" – a perennial flower of the legume family that easily fits into any garden ensemble thanks to its bright blue-violet inflorescences and straight, tall stem. The plant reaches a height of 80–120 cm, with a bush diameter of about 50–60 cm, and inflorescences up to 35 cm. The flower blooms at the end of May–June (up to 30 days), and after cutting off withered shoots, a second flowering is possible in August. The appearance of the lupine is emphasized by large, palmate, and slightly hairy leaves, which add decorativeness.

"Governor" is distinguished by high resistance to unfavorable conditions: frost-hardy (zones 3–6), unpretentious to soil – suitable for both weakly alkaline and weakly acidic soils, as well as loam and sandy-loam soils. It loves sunny places but can also grow in partial shade. Care is simple: regular watering during drought, mounding the root neck after growth, and cutting inflorescence stalks after flowering ends. It is recommended to replant every 3–4 years, and to divide bushes if necessary after flowering.

To plant lupine, prepare a pit of approximately 30×30×30 cm, do not bury the root neck too deeply, and water abundantly after planting. Seeds can be sown in open ground from late April to early May; if sown in summer, the plants will bloom next year. Lupine combines well with irises, lilies, daisies, and grasses, and can also be used as a border element due to the monumental appearance of the bush. Seeds are poisonous, so the plant is not recommended for placement near children and kindergartens.
