AGNIA VIK is a variety of variable alfalfa (Medicago sativa L. nothosubsp. varia) intended for agricultural use as a forage crop. The plant is characterized by medium height in spring and a semi-erect, intermediate bush type. The leaves have a medium-intensity green color, and the time of onset of flowering is medium, which contributes to optimal development and yield.
The variety is characterized by high dry matter yield, which in various regions reaches from 71.1 to 73.4 c/ha, exceeding average standards by 3-6 c/ha. The maximum recorded yield is 129.3 c/ha. In addition, AGNIA VIK has high resistance to root rots and good adaptive ability to abiotic stress factors, which ensures stability and reliability when growing under different climatic conditions.
In addition to high productivity, the variety is characterized by a high protein content in the dry matter of green mass – on average 15.6%, which makes it especially valuable for feeding livestock and other animals. Thanks to these characteristics, AGNIA VIK is widely used in agronomy to obtain high-quality and nutritious feed, promoting efficient animal husbandry.
