Lyra alfalfa represents a variable alfalfa (Medicago sativa L. nothosubsp. varia), characterized by erect plants of medium and high height with light-colored leaves of medium length and width. The flowers are predominantly dark-purple and blue-purple, giving the plant an attractive appearance. Plant height gradually decreases after cutting, which allows for effective use in multiple cuts throughout the growing season, which lasts about 76 days. Average green mass yield in the North Caucasus region reaches 64.1 c/ha, with maximum indicators up to 119 c/ha.
