Alfalfa Augusta

Consistent Yields with Italian Alfalfa Genetics

Selecting the right seed variety for perennial crops is a long-term strategic decision. The 'Augusta' alfalfa variety from the Italian company Sea Sementi Elette Alba S.R.L. is engineered for farmers who prioritize high-protein forage and long-lasting productivity with minimal field maintenance.

Practical Field Application

With an average plant height of 70–90 cm, 'Augusta' is perfectly suited for mechanized harvesting. This height profile allows farmers to optimize mower settings for a clean cut, preserving the crown for rapid regrowth after each harvest cycle.

• Forage Production: Designed for intensive hay production. Its rapid recovery rate supports 3–4 cutting cycles per season, provided the crop is managed with proper fertilization and moisture control.
• Nutritional Value: The high leaf-to-stem ratio typical of 'Augusta' ensures a high-protein yield, which is essential for improving cattle productivity and feed efficiency.
• Adaptability: The Italian breeding from Sea Sementi Elette Alba S.R.L. provides the necessary plasticity for 'Augusta' to thrive in diverse soil conditions, maintaining a dense stand that effectively suppresses weeds from the second year onward.

For operations looking to maximize the return on investment per hectare, 'Augusta' offers a predictable, high-quality forage solution. Its ability to maintain structural integrity and nutritional density makes it a reliable choice for long-term feed security.
