Description Lada
Lucerne variety Lada is a perennial herbaceous crop from the legume family, created by polycross method based on re-pollination of fast-growing biotypes. This variety belongs to the meadow type and is characterized by high resistance to mowing in early phases of vegetation, drought tolerance above average, winter hardiness, as well as great resistance to lodging and root rot. Lada differs with uniform supply of forage mass along cuts and productive longevity for three to four years, which makes it a reliable choice for long-term use in agriculture.

Lada variety provides high yield of dry matter — at the bud stage with three cuts, you can get from 11.5 to 12 tons per hectare, while the crude protein content is 22-24%, providing 2.3-2.5 tons of protein per hectare. The seed yield ranges from 160 to 250 kg per hectare. Lucerne of this variety quickly regrows during the growing season, allowing for several cuts of tender and nutritious feed rich in protein, vitamins and minerals.

Lucerne Lada is widely used for producing green fodder, hay and silage, making it a valuable component in animal feed base. Due to symbiosis with nitrogen-fixing bacteria, it helps enrich the soil with nitrogen, improving its fertility and reducing weed infestation at high vegetation density. High forage value and productivity of lucerne make it an indispensable crop for effective and sustainable agriculture.
